What
is Gyrotonic?
Juliu Horvath created the Gyrotonic Expansion
System in the 1970s after an injury brought his dance career to an
end. He quickly came to see the benefits of his method for the general
public as well as dancers. Gyrotonic exercise combines the movements
of yoga, swimming, ballet and gymnastics in a workout designed to
increase strength, flexibility and range of motion.
