Ashlea joined the Balance family last year, but her experience with movement and yoga goes way back! Before becoming a yoga instructor, she trained as ballet dancer for 15 years. She discovered her love for yoga while taking hot yoga classes during winter and summer breaks from college.
At Balance she teaches a flow style yoga class on Friday mornings at 8:30 am. She says, “I was inspired to become an instructor to inspire others to practice. I was drawn to Balance because I believe that yoga as a supplement to Pilates can be very powerful. My classes focus on the convergence of body and mind, with a concentration on alignment. “
With that emphasis on focus and alignment, Ashlea is also teaching a workshop all about Chaturanga, Floating & Sun Salutations on Saturday 9/ 12 from 12:15-1:45pm.
